How to open an Exness account, step by step

The steps at a glance

1. Register with your email address and a password.
2. Exness creates a real and a demo trading account for you.
3. Complete your economic profile and verify your identity and address.
4. Make a first deposit from an account in your own name.
5. Start trading.

Account types differ in cost, execution and margin levels. The account types page compares them. A rebate is a separate topic, explained on the rebate page, and it does not remove the risk of loss.

Step 1: Register

Can I register more than one Exness account with the same email address?

No. One email address can have only one Exness account. A different email address works, but the accounts stay separate and trading accounts cannot be moved between them. A phone number and documents can be reused.

• Choose Create an Account, enter your email address and create a password that meets the requirements shown on screen. In some regions you can also sign in with Google.
• If you have a partner code, there is a field for it, and an invalid code clears the field so you can try again.
• After registering you arrive in the Exness Terminal. To reach the Personal Area, open the features menu at the top right and choose Personal Area.
• If a message says your email address is already connected to an account, Exness points to its password recovery steps.

What is created when you register

• Two trading accounts appear in your Personal Area automatically: a real Standard MT5 account and a demo Standard MT5 account.
• A demo account trades with virtual funds. Demo accounts are available for every account type except Standard Cent.
• A real account cannot be deleted, only archived. A demo account that stays inactive is deleted, and a deleted demo account cannot be restored.
• The currency of a trading account cannot be changed after it is created. If you need another currency, create a new trading account.

Step 2: Verify your identity and address

Which documents does Exness accept?

Exness asks for an identity document from an official authority and a proof of address issued within the past six months. In some regions one document can serve for both; your Personal Area shows what applies.

• If a document has more than one page, submit both sides. A missing front, back or page is a reason for rejection. All four edges must be visible, and the image must be clear and legible.
• You can upload a photo, a scan or a photocopy as .jpg, .bmp, .png or .pdf, up to 50 MB.
• Document verification can take up to 24 hours. If there is no update after that, open a ticket in the support hub. In some regions one document that carries both identity and address details can serve for both, and your Personal Area shows what applies to you.

Checking your verification status

• The banner at the top of your Personal Area shows your current verification status.
• You receive an email when your documents are submitted and again when they have been reviewed.
• If a document is rejected, the reason is shown, and you can upload the document again. After ten failed attempts you can no longer upload documents and need to contact support.

Step 3: The first deposit and deposit limits

• You must make a successful first deposit before you can start trading. Payments are accepted only from accounts in your own name.
• In the Deposit tab of the Personal Area, choose a payment method. The screen shows the minimum and maximum amounts and the processing time for that method.
• The minimum first deposit is not one fixed figure. It depends on the account type, your region and the payment method, so read the deposit screen before you confirm.
• Until your account is fully verified, deposits are limited across all your trading accounts. The limit rises as you complete the steps and is lifted once your proof of address is accepted, apart from any limit tied to the payment method. In some regions, deposits or trading stay disabled until verification is complete.
