Pip value calculator
Enter your trade size in lots, the contract size, the pip size and the exchange rate to your account currency. The tool shows what 1 pip is worth for that order, in the quote currency and in your account currency.
It is a calculator, not advice. It does not tell you whether to trade, and it does not limit your loss. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

What does the tool calculate?

Exness's pip-value formula is lots x contract size x pip size. It gives an amount in the quote currency. This tool multiplies that amount by your entered exchange rate to estimate the value in your account currency.
How the calculation works
- Value of 1 pip in the quote currency = lots x contract size x pip size.
- Value of 1 pip in your account currency = lots x contract size x pip size x rate.
Exness works out profit and loss in the quote currency first and then converts it to the account currency. Applying Exness's formula to 1 standard lot gives EURUSD: 100,000 x 0.0001 = 10 USD, and USDJPY: 100,000 x 0.01 = 1,000 JPY. These are our calculations, not examples quoted from Exness.
The tool cuts the result off after five decimal places. Trailing zeros are dropped down to two decimals. A value above 0 but below 0.00001 is shown as 0.00.

What to enter in each field
| Instrument | Contract size | Pip size |
|---|---|---|
| Most forex pairs | 100000 | 0.0001 |
| Forex pairs with the yen | 100000 | 0.01 |
| Gold | 100 | 0.01 |
| BTCUSD | 1 | 0.1 |
| Indices such as US30 | 1 | 1 |
These are the values in the Exness Help Centre (checked 2026-10-13). Standard Cent uses cent lots, so the contract sizes above do not apply to it. The values can change, so confirm them for your instrument and account type.
The exchange rate is the amount of your account currency that 1 unit of the quote currency buys. Leave it at 1 only if the quote currency is your account currency.
How to read the result
The result is for the trade size you enter, not for 1 lot. Enter 1 lot to estimate the pip value per lot. The lot size calculator requires the result in your account currency, not the quote-currency result. This tool truncates its estimates to five decimal places; do not use the truncated figure unchanged to manage losses.
Exness defines the value of a pip as the amount gained or lost for a one-pip price move. Its profit-and-loss calculation starts in the quote currency; the account-currency amount depends on the applicable conversion rate at closing. For the meaning of the terms, see what is a pip and what is a lot.
Check against the official calculator
Exness has its own trading calculator in the Personal Area, under the Tools & Services menu, and in Exness Trade. It uses actual market data and its results include the pip value. They can still differ from live conditions because of currency conversion and spread differences. Source: Trading calculator (checked 2026-10-13).
Is the result the pip value per lot?
No. It is the value of 1 pip for the trade size you enter. To get the value per lot, enter a trade size of 1.What exchange rate do I enter?
Enter how much of your account currency 1 unit of the quote currency is worth. If the quote currency differs from your account currency, the converted value changes with the exchange rate. If they are the same currency, use a conversion rate of 1.Why can the result differ from my platform?
The tool cuts the value off after five decimals and uses the rate you type. Exness says its own calculator can also differ from live conditions because of currency conversion and spread differences.Last reviewed 2026-10-13
