XS account types compared
XS groups its accounts into Preferred, Professional, Partners and Copy Trading. This page compares the six accounts in the first two groups: Standard, Cent and Micro, then Pro, Elite and VIP.
Figures come from XS's own English account pages (checked 2026-10-13). XS can change them, so confirm the current conditions for your account before you deposit.

Do XS accounts need a minimum deposit?

It depends on the account. XS shows no minimum deposit for Standard, Cent and Micro. It shows USD 500 for Pro and Elite and USD 100,000 for VIP. Check the current figure before you deposit.

MT4 and MT5 are MetaTrader 4 and 5. The table reflects XS's account pages (checked 2026-10-13). These pages do not give a minimum for each deposit method. Each account type can be opened up to 10 times. Source: XS account types.
How the groups and the small accounts differ
- Preferred (Standard, Cent, Micro). XS describes this group as its most popular, for new and experienced people who want to trade without a minimum deposit. Standard works on both MetaTrader platforms.
- Professional (Pro, Elite, VIP). XS describes this group as for experienced traders who want to trade with minimal costs. It describes Pro as having no commission and Elite as a low-spread account with a commission. These are XS's own descriptions, not our comparison.
- Cent. Balances and trades are shown in cents, and the account base currency is USC. XS calls it the only account that uses cent lots.
- Micro. You trade micro lots, where one micro lot is 1,000 units. The minimum is 0.1 lot. XS calls it the only account that uses micro lots.
- Instruments. Standard and Pro list currencies, metals, crypto, energies and stock indices on MT4, and add futures and shares on MT5. Elite is similar but has no shares. Cent lists currencies and metals. Micro lists currencies, metals, energies and indices.
XS also uses account names ending EQ or LT for its two dynamic leverage models. See the XS overview for how they work.
Spreads, commissions and leverage on these pages

If an account has no commission, is it free to trade?

No. Without a commission you can still pay costs such as the spread. XS shows an average EURUSD spread on each account page, but the pages do not say how it was measured, so treat it as a reference and not what you will pay.
- Commission. Standard, Cent, Micro and Pro show no commission. Elite shows one. No commission does not mean no trading costs. Check the spread and any other applicable charges. See What is spread.
- Average spread. XS shows an average EURUSD spread on each account page. The pages do not say how it is measured, so this page does not copy the numbers.
- Maximum leverage. The Standard, Pro and Elite pages show dynamic leverage with a maximum of 1:2000. The Cent and Micro pages also show 1:2000, but XS's home page shows a different figure for them, so confirm the figure for your account. It is a maximum, and the ratio falls with open lots or equity.
- Swap-free option. The account pages mark a swap-free option as available, but they do not explain who qualifies or what it costs.
Margin call and stop-out levels are explained on Margin call and stop-out. A lower stop-out level does not limit your losses.
A way to choose between them
This is a way to organise your thinking, not a recommendation to open any account.
- Deposit size. Pro and Elite show a USD 500 minimum and VIP shows USD 100,000. The three Preferred accounts show none.
- Platform. Only Standard, Pro and Elite work on MT4. Cent, Micro and VIP are MT5 only.
- Position size. Cent uses cent lots, while Micro uses micro lots. Check the lot unit and minimum trade size before entering an order. Neither account removes the risk of loss.
- Cost structure. Compare the spread and the commission together for the instruments you trade, not either alone.
- Demo. Standard, Pro and Elite show a demo account. Cent, Micro and VIP do not.
Accounts in the Partners group are aimed at partners, and Copy Trading is a separate service. Neither is covered here.
What the operator of this site has confirmed with XS

Does a rebate make trading safer?

No. A rebate returns part of the trading costs only when you trade. It does not guarantee profit, does not offset trading losses and does not remove the risk of loss.
This section differs from the rest of the page. The figures above come from XS's public pages. The points below are what the operator of this site confirmed with XS or its representatives, with dates. They are not published on XS's public pages, so confirm them with XS before you rely on them.
- An auto-rebate, where part of your trading costs is returned through the party that referred the account, applies to accounts opened through this site on both Standard and Pro. The operator confirmed this on 2026-07-28. Written confirmation from an XS representative is still pending.
- The operator confirmed on 2026-07-30 that the auto-rebate has no minimum position-holding period.
- The auto-rebate and XS Trading Miles, XS's loyalty programme, are separate and can be used together. An XS representative confirmed this through the operator on 2026-08-04.
- The partner linked to an account that already exists cannot be changed afterwards. The operator confirmed this on 2026-07-22. So decide how you want to register before you open the account.
On this site, a rebate means part of the trading costs returned through the party that referred the account. It is separate from bonuses and deposit offers, and it arises only when you trade. The operator may receive compensation from XS for accounts opened through the referral link on this site. The amount is not disclosed here.
What to check before you open an account
- Which XS company you contract with. Your contracting entity may depend on where you live. XS says the provisions of investor compensation schemes vary by entity. Check the sign-up screen and contract. See the XS overview.
- The current account page. Margin levels, minimum deposits and platforms can change. Read the current page for your account type: Standard, Pro, Cent, Micro.
- Higher margin periods. The higher requirement applies around major news, the Friday close and the Monday open. See Leverage and margin.
- Your own limits. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. XS's own warning says you can lose all of your capital.
